IMO / hazardous goods

Dangerous goods are articles or materials that can cause danger to health, safety, environment or property. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has established internationally accepted safety regulations for the loading, transport, and unloading of hazardous goods known as the International Maritime Dangerous Goods code, or IMDG.

Following the correct procedures for hazardous goods is absolutely essential to avoid catastrophic incidents. Several members of the Embassy Freight Services team are specially trained in dangerous goods administration. Hazardous goods can be handled only by shipping employees who have earned the required IMDG certificate. This designation enables us to transport dangerous goods by every transport modality (sea, land or air).
